First Quarter 2009

OK, maybe this is a bit of a stretch. Roy and I were pretty set on buying one of these Challengers and maybe a new Camaro, then we could split the kids 2 and 2. We'd certainly get everywhere alot quicker! Ah well, maybe when we win the lottery.

We rode some bikes in January, enjoying the warm weather. Catherine and Alton are ready for their close-up.

We went to the zoo and all the kids had a great time. Catherine got to see the flamigos, her favorite.

In between all the good times we had some sad news, Roy's grandfather died in early March. He was 91 and his health had been failing for a few months. The funeral mass took place on a cold dreary day in Stonewall ,Texas. I thought I would get a few pictures of the kids while they were all dressed up. I'm including two, so that the full effect can be witnessed. Alton started out with a slightly odd face (above), but got better; meanwhile, the girls went from nice smiles to 'please let us go play' faces (below).
